You were with me for every up and every down. When I was sick, you drove me home, all the way from Louisiana. When I was better, we drove back together. Running gerbils. Chatting about guys. Sleepover parties, where we sang out loud to Cat Stevens songs and you taught me how to play the strings. Chat and meals in your kitchen, with your sisters and brothers, your parents' home always open to your friends. How blessed we all work when the JP girl transferred into the Brookline schools. For almost 30 years we had you. I miss you, my friend. xo

You were not a close friend of mine, but I knew your warm smile and your sense of humor. You called lots of people "a good kid."

You were a good kid!

(Untitled - Poem - I wrote this for Andy)

Andy, has it really been six years?
We ran with the wild things
Purposely releasing the string
Labyrinthine girls determined not to harm
We caressed the Minotaur
Loving him, as poor Pasiphae did
How could we have know then, that one of us would be eaten alive?
