Kids are gone, nearing the end of the (work) line. Would love to go home to Boston, but...too damn cold. Washington, my home the past 27 years, is interesting but a real rat race.

Time to go back on the road and see the world while these old bones still can...Europe, Asia, Africa...


Ten years ago: Just got back from two-week trip with my teenagers for safari in Kenya and three days in London--our last big trip before my son heads off to school next year. He's thinking about attending my alma mater of BU.

Looking forward to seeing all my old classmates.

It's been a long time.

Kids are now getting ready to graduate college. Boy I loved those days. Reminds me of my faded youth.

My kids' high school experience is bringing it all back for me; the boredom of the classroom, especially for those required courses we hated, socializing before, during and after school, awkward teenagers, struggling with acne, loud music all the time, sports, energy--where did it all go?
